The winter and spring were busy cleaning my studio and setting up my new easel. I took some quiet time to paint a few studio pieces from plein air studies as well as to get out into the field for some plein air painting.

The Friends of Coronado Historic Site is hosting an “Art, Made in New Mexico,” auction with a wide range of items from all cultures, both old and new. There will be handmade work from Pueblo, Hispanic, Navajo and Anglo artists available at affordable prices. “Wow! This is a great opportunity to collect, original, handmade New Mexican artwork; paintings, pottery, sculptures, textiles, and more,” said Brian Gilmore, President of The Friends of Coronado Historic Site.
