Pirouette

I am thrilled that the editorial staff  of Horizon Review accepted the visual image of my painting, Pirouette, for publication in the inaugural issue! Here is what they said about it: “Our team enjoyed the contrast of colors in this piece along with the layers of texture. The shape and motion you created invoke the rhythm and dynamic movement of the ballet pose it’s named after. We felt the grace of ballet was contrasted with the oftentimes unglamorous, which instilled a sense of nuance and depth. We are excited to have this included for our inaugural issue!”

Pirouette is of one of several paintings in my Nature Dance series. This series renders the ephemeral essence of nature's cadence, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in its harmonious rhythm and timeless grace. These studio paintings evoke fluidity in brushstrokes and capture nature's poetry of abstract movement in whispering winds through mountain and sky, swaying trees and grasses, and the dance-like rippling of water.
